Ways to Help
There are many ways to get involved at Sagle Elementary. Our PTA is always looking for volunteers to help with various events and activities that make such wonderful memories for our students. From our Harvest Fest to the annual Fun Run in the Spring and all things in between. We would love to see you at one of the monthly meetings held every third Thursday of the month at 6pm. We also have a the Sagle Parent Watch, where you can volunteer to help be extra eyes and ears during lunch and recess times.
SAGLE PARENT WATCH/VOLUNTEERS: If you are interested in serving as a SPW, please review the following information and then contact our office to schedule a day (or more): SAGLE PARENT WATCH OVERVIEW.pdf , SPW Schedule (2).pdf . If you prefer volunteering in classrooms, chat with your child's teacher and then complete a volunteer application at our office. We can also always use extra hands during lunch and recess times.
SAFETY: With the recent act of violence at Perry High School in Iowa, I want to ensure you that Sagle continues to have numerous safety and security measures in place.
Our school is equipped with video surveillance that is monitored closely by our office staff.
Perimeter checks are conducted each morning and during recesses, ensuring all outside doors and fences are locked. Classroom doors remain locked during the day (propped with a magnet or door stop).
Safety drills are conducted regularly including fire, earthquake, safety holds, and lockdowns.
Our Sagle Safety Team, made up of staff, parents, and law enforcement, meets monthly to review procedures, discuss additional safety measures, and conduct training with staff and students as needed.
Reports of bullying, unsafe behavior, or violence can be reported through SEE TELL NOW at SafeIdaho_STN_Poster_02.pdf.
Our students had the opportunity to identify at least one trusted adult aka "champion" at school who they can go to in times of struggle, celebration, and support. Our staff pride themselves in finding time to connect with students who consider them their champions.
Please know that safety is my number one priority. We will be extra vigilant as we transition back to school and thereafter.
